Shenzhen, China — In the manufacturing sectors of lightweight composites, precision electronic accessories, premium luggage, and footwear, lower processing temperatures and powerful adhesion to dissimilar substrates have always been key to elevating production efficiency. Shenzhen Tunsing Plastic Products Co., Ltd. has officially launched its upgraded DS6191 Polyurethane Hot Melt Adhesive Film. Featuring a unique molecular design, DS6191 achieves a low activation temperature starting at 68°C and a breakthrough in ultra-thin specifications, while delivering exceptional adhesion to fiberglass sheets and various engineering plastics (PC, ABS, TPU, PVC).
Ultra-Low Activation Temperature (Starting at 68°C) for Fast Curing & High Efficiency
DS6191 has a low melting range of 40–55°C (ISO 11357), an activation temperature of 68–110°C, and completes its transition into a viscoelastic fluid at approximately 54.2°C (based on Anton Paar rotational rheometer testing). With a pressing time of just 5–15 seconds, it cures rapidly to complete bonding, significantly cutting energy consumption while protecting heat-sensitive substrates.
Breakthrough Ultra-Thin Specifications (Down to 0.0125mm) for Lightweight Lamination
The thickness range extends from 0.0125mm to 0.15mm (conventional thicknesses include 0.05mm, 0.08mm, 0.10mm, and 0.15mm). While ensuring strong bond density, the ultra-thin layer adds virtually no thickness or weight, making it ideal for high-end composite products with strict thickness and hand-feel requirements.
Specialized Adhesion for Fiberglass Sheets & Multi-Substrates
Compared to conventional adhesive films, DS6191 offers outstanding bonding performance specifically to fiberglass sheets, as well as exceptionally strong adhesion to textiles, TPU, PVC, PC, and ABS, serving as an ideal bonding medium for dissimilar materials.
Super Low-Temperature Cold Resistance (Tg -45°C)
According to DSC analysis, the glass transition temperature (Tg) of DS6191 is -45 ± 7°C (with an actual DSC peak measured around -44.2°C). It maintains good toughness and peel strength even under extreme cold or outdoor conditions without becoming brittle or delaminating.
To assist customers in making precise model selections within the Tunsing adhesive film portfolio, the key parameters and positioning of DS6191 compared to the previously featured DS3413 are summarized below:

Choose DS6191 if your product involves:
Fiberglass sheets or rigid plastic (PC/ABS/PVC) composites: Requiring high bond strength to engineering plastics or fiberglass sheets.
Low-temperature processing requirements: Activation temperatures as low as 68–110°C significantly shorten heating time and protect heat-sensitive substrates from thermal deformation.
Ultra-thin specifications and structural shaping: A hardness of 92 Shore A combined with a minimum thickness of 0.0125mm provides superior structural shaping and "zero-sensation" lamination.
Choose DS3413 if your product involves:
High-elastic stretch and recovery: Such as yoga wear or compression tights requiring the adhesive film to stretch extensively with the fabric and rapidly recover.
Soft tactile feel and high washability: A hardness of 65 Shore A paired with excellent water washing and dry cleaning durability.
Tunsing Laboratory recommends the following baseline pressing parameters:
First Lamination: Mold Temp 80°C – 120°C, Time 5 – 15 seconds, Pressure 0.3 – 0.6 MPa.
Second Lamination: Mold Temp 80°C – 130°C, Time 8 – 25 seconds, Pressure 0.3 – 0.6 MPa.
